Today I thought I’d share with you some things that we have been loving for baby A recently. While I was pregnant, I loved these lists.  Obviously every baby and situation is different, but I loved reading through these to figure out what to put on my registry, and what things worked for other people. So, in no particular order, here are some of our favorites. (Full disclosure: none of this is sponsored and none of these companies know who I am.  I just wanted to share the products we are loving.  The links below are Amazon affiliate links so I get a few pennies if you buy through those links)

indestructible

Indestructibles Books – Rip proof, drool proof, chew proof, washable (yes, in the washing machine or dishwasher) these books are perfect for little babies who need to put everything in their mouth.  These books are kind of amazing.  The way that Baby A “reads” her Indestructibles books would easily destroy any other paperback book.  Yes, the pages get crumpled (which she loves doing) but nothing has ripped or fallen apart.  Added bonus: The illustrations are beautiful! (particularly in the books that have animals)

keys

Green Toys My First Keys – I know there are a billion different “baby’s first keys” toys out there.  These we love because they are simple, colorful, and they are made in the USA out of recycled bottles! They are also large enough that she can’t stick they too far into her mouth, and they are lightweight enough that she can easily hold onto them.

bumbo

Bumbo Floor Seat – I don’t know that we would have bought one of these ourselves because they seem like they have a pretty short life span, but my cousin had one that we could borrow so I figured we would give it a try.  Once Baby A could hold her head up well on her own, we put her in the seat and she seemed to like it.  It basically gave her a new view of the room by sitting up instead of laying on her back, which I think she really enjoyed.

babypaper

Baby Paper – this is one of those “Why didn’t I think of that?!” toys.  It is as simple as it sounds – colored fabric with a piece of crinkly paper sewn inbetween.  I will admit that when I first heard of this I was a little skeptical about why this was such a popular toy – it’s just a piece of fabric, what is so special about that?! But then I got one and gave it to Baby A, and she almost instantly LOVED it.  She could easily hold it, crinkle it, and chew on it.

(We are also still loving some of our 8 week favorites like the Aden + Anais burpy bibs, the Wubbanub, as well as the lightweight swaddle blankets which are great as sun covers on the stroller, without making it too warm!)
