Three months seems like a huge milestone. Every day Baby A is becoming less of an infant and more of a kid. She is still eating and sleeping pretty well. About three hours during the day, and usually five or six at night – which is great! We actually had to buy larger bottles this month because she is eating more at a time than the little bottles could hold.
Some of the 0-3 and 3 month clothes still fit her, but I’ve started to get out some of the smaller 3-6 month clothes. She is now in size 2 diapers. Size 1 diapers still fit her ok, but looking at the weight guidelines, it seemed like buying a new box of size 2 diapers made more sense than having her possibly grow out of the smaller size before she uses them all.
She is smiling a lot now. Making lots of “happy” noises too. Not really laughing yet, but sometimes she does make some random noises while she laughs so it seems like that will be coming soon. She really likes holding on to and looking at things now. Her particular favorites are lightweight blankets, and her O Ball Rattle.
She is awake a lot more during the day now, too. Which, most of the time, is good since she is pretty easy to occupy at this stage when she is awake and happy. However, she is most cranky are when she is overtired, so we do have to kind make sure that she sleeps enough to prevent that. Normally between feedings during the day she will be awake for a while, and sleep for a while, which works out well.
